Media Forms:
This trailer used different techniques to hold and influence the audience to watch the movie. The trailer begins by showing the paramount pictures logo as this movie is within the paramount pictures industry, it then shows the logo flip into MTV because Jack Ass was first created and shown on MTV. Then you hear a car start up and hear a voice which says “this isn’t the best idea” then hear laughing, this is one way to persuade audience because it makes the audience why this car was started and why someone says it is not a good idea, it would make them want to see what the idea is, and the name itself gives of the people in the movie, that they are typical “jackasses”, and of course if you a fan of comedy why would you not want to watch a movie called jack ass? The name itself is funny!
Media Representations:
men are represented as complete idiots in this movie. it may sound harsh but from what you can see, these men bully and prank their friends and it is very funny, the things they do would be seen in every day, that is why it is a once in a life time chance to see it on the big screen. fully grown men acting like kids.
Media Audiences:
the audience for this trailer would have to be 16+ because of the content in the movie, it would not be appropriate for people under the age if 16, simply because of the material. People in the C1, D & E category would most likely to the audiences of this film.
Media Institutions:
the Hollywood values and characteristics that are identified in this trailer is through comedy, the entire movie is about people stupid stuns and are going over the top in everything they do. as you would see in a normal Hollywood movie where they use stunt doubles so the actors don't get hurt, but in this case the real actors are doing the stunts, copying the Hollywood style of film making.
