What techniques does this trailer use to persuade an audience to see the film?
This trailer uses lots of techniques to persuade the audience to watch the film. The use of Diegetic sounds helps build suspense and leave the audience with questions and they would want to know what happens next and the only way to get these answers is to see the film. They make the trailer intense by using a lot of short takes and making them move at a fast pace and also the music with it helps builds the tension. The music gradually gets louder as the more interesting parts begin to show in the trailer. They show beginning of fight scenes then change the screen so we do knot know what has happened, and the only way to know is to see the film.

How is gender represented in this trailer?
Males are represented dominant; as this trailer is mostly about fighting, and males are known to be more dominant in fights. Females are shown to be weaker, as the girl is shown to stupid things for the man she loves. Although there is a woman who looks as if she is ready to fight so they could say women could be seen both ways, but the males are shown to just fight.

What target audience would be attracted to this film?
The target audience would be aged between 12-19 years old and BC1C2 socio-economic group; who has an interest in fantasy films. I believe girls would be more attracted to it, as being a male i would not want to see romance in a violent film, and girls are more about their romance. Also the characters look to be in their teens, this could make the viewers feel as if they have a connection with them.

What Hollywood values can you identify in this trailer?
I think Violence is the Hollywood value used in this trailer, because you can see from the beginning, an evil man killing another evil man. Once i saw this i knew straight away there would more violence, because in every movie, there is always the typical revenge plot.
